Mark is Director of the Angel division and was its principal founder in December 2003. He has more than 25 years' experience in the insurance industry. Following a sucessful early career with Robert Barrow Ltd and other Lloyd's insurance brokers, he founded the London Special Risks group in 1989. He remained Chief Executive and controlling shareholder of LSR until the end of 2003, when he divested his interest in it to concentrate on the expansion of Angel. Angel entered into a MGA agreement with Catlin in 2007 and was acquired by Catlin in 2010. Mark lives in Aldham, Essex and spends his free time playing squash, walking his dog (and Angel's Chief Security Officer), Dudley, or watching his beloved football team, Norwich City! |

Gary Green

Gary began his insurance career in 1982 and after five years as a broker with Robert Fleming he spent the next 13 years as a North American Casualty Underwriter at CNA Re in London. Gary's primary responsibility is business development and marketing. Gary lives in Colchester and enjoys driving, going to the gym, golf and is a lifelong Chelsea supporter, he is also the comedian of the office! |

Susan began her career in the insurance market in 1985 predominantly in the North American casualty arena., She has held underwriting authority for various Insurance companies and Lloyd's syndicates. Her current underwriting role has her floating between the new business and renewal teams. Sue lives in Essex and her interests include gardening, cooking, travelling and looking after her free range chickens, two cats and her dog! |

Steve has been in the insurance industry since 1978. His career began at the Sun Alliance before becoming an underwriter for the Cornhill and then the NEM / Chancellor. He joined Mark at London Special Risks in 1992 and then transferred to angel in 2004. He is one of the proper Essex boys and lives in Southend. He keeps his sanity by playing golf and pool and he is a West Ham fan. |

Louise has been in insurance since 1995. She joined London Special Risks from college transferring to Angel in 2004. She is responsible for the renewal business and runs our renewals team as well as being involved in new business underwriting strategy development. Her other responsibilities include the run off on the old business. Louise loves to shop and enjoys riding her horse, dancing and looking after her Jack Russell Daisy. |

Lloyd Brown

Lloyd joined Angel in January 2008 from the Planning Department of a local printers having graduated with honours in Business Management and Sports Science from Brunel University. Lloyd is another one of the proper Essex boys at Angel although we've yet to catch him wearing white socks. He is a keen Arsenal supporter and as well as having a season ticket at Colchester United he plays a bit of six-a-side football, tennis and snooker. |

Felix joined Angel in May 2009 having spent a year travelling around Europe with a group of friends. He graduated from the University of Nottingham with an honours degree in industrial economics. He joined the Angel underwriting team as an Underwriting Assistant. He puts the rest of the team to shame as he is an all round sports man representing his local football and cricket teams. Sadly though we can now no longer boast about not having a Manchester United supporter in the office! |

After leaving sixth form college Karin worked for six years in office based sales. She has a passion for motorcycles but early in 2010 she had to sell her own bike to help fund a year of travelling to Canada, USA, New Zealand & Australia. Having run out of money four months in to her travels she returned home and started working for Angel. She hopes to be able to save up and buy a new bike as soon as possible. She is a born and raised Essex girl and lives in Coggeshall with her two cats. |

Rosie joined Angel in July 2011 straight from Colchester County High School for Girls where she studied Maths, Economics and English Literature. Whilst in sixth form she was part of the Young Enterprise Company Programme that sees secondary school pupils across the UK set up and run their own business. Her team, called Thirteen, beat 2,400 other teams to win the UK Innovation Award and also came second in Europe. Born and raised in Essex Rosie enjoys horse riding, kayaking, walking her dog and beating the blokes in the office at pool! |

Paul started his career at C.E. Heath and has been in insurance accounting since 1993 and runs the day to day accounting function within Angel. He is a whiz at numbers and cryptic puzzles. He is another of our crop of proper Essex boys and lives in Southend. He is always the first in the office and gets in most mornings at stupid o’clock! He supports his local Southend United football team whose lack of success has also forced him in to supporting a Premiership team, Arsenal proving that he’s not as clever as we all think!

Sarah joined Angel in May 2011 having previously worked as an accounts and admin assistant for a local publishing company. Prior to this she took a ten year career break, five of which were spent in Australia, to raise her two, now grown up children. She was born on Christmas day “a few years ago” in Nottingham, but assures us she is not a Northerner! She is captain of the local tennis team which takes up most of her spare time but she manages to find some time for gardening in her allotment and eating chocolate!

Having graduated from the University of Essex with a 2:1 honours degree in law and human rights Julia went to law school where she obtained her diploma in legal practice. Following this she worked for a year as a trainee solicitor at an Essex based law firm before completing her master’s degree in the law of information technology, media and e-commerce. Julia joined Angel in September 2009 as a claims specialist. Weighted down with the burden of all her qualifications Julia is now taking time off from studying law for the far more interesting profession of insurance claims! |

Mark or MJ as he is more commonly called is one of our IT bods. He has a degree in computing from Portsmouth University and has been with us since 2004. He works tirelessly to ensure the databases and underwriting programmes run smoothly as well as ensuring we all know how to operate our computers! Mark lives in Surrey and interests include travelling, going to the gym and watching the odd Battlestar Galactica re-run! |

Natalie joined Angel in November 2007 after completing a BTEC National Diploma in IT. Natalie joins MJ as an IT bod. She lives in Colchester, Essex and as such joins the crop of Essex girls in the office although she doesn't make as much noise as some of the others! Not surprisingly Natalie enjoys computing and is also a keen supporter of gymnastics having retired from the sport herself following a wrist injury.. She lives with her cat and can be seen from time to time bombing around the lanes near the office in her bright yellow car. |

Dudley
Chief Security Officer
Dudley was appointed Chief Security Officer when Angel relocated to Colchester in 2006 and since then has managed to maintain a secure working environment for the Angel staff. He is good at greeting guests by taking his favourite toy to show them or alternatively rolling on to his back with his legs in the air! He enjoys walking and likes biscuits and the post lady (when she brings him treats). His dislikes include squirrels, rabbits, pheasants, crisps and cucumber. |
